Decorating for Christmas

We’ve really been looking forward to decorating for Christmas this year. Eli especially- he kept asking me when we were going to have a Christmas tree, if Santa was getting us a tree, when we could turn on Christmas lights, etc, etc. And I told him repeatedly that we have to wait until after Thanksgiving to put out Christmas decorations. On Thanksgiving morning, I turned on the parade and explained what it was (because Eli asked me, “why?” for the 300th time that day) and when I said, “Today is Thanksgiving!” his reply was, “YAY! Christmas lights!!”
Needless to say, he was excited when they were finally up!
