August Disney Vacation!

Jason got asked to speak at a conference in Orland in August, so we took advantage of the trip and spent 4 days at Disney after the conference. 

Of course, it was the first time the boys have flown in an airplane and they were very excited! The flight went okay, and we thought we were going to make it without any incidents. Then they came over the loudspeaker and said we were about to land in Jacksonville. Um, what?? Apparently the Orlando Airport was shut down because of a large storm and we didn't have enough fuel to wait it out in the air. So we sat and sat on the airplane until it was time to take off again. 

It took a LONG time, but we finally got Asher to sleep. He would have been fine if we'd gone straight to Orlando, but the extra two hours just about did all of us in.

When we finally arrived in Orlando, the airport was completely packed with people. Between all the planes landing at once and lots of people waiting to take off, it was completely insane. We had to wait about 2 more hours before we got our rental car and got away from the airport! It was late, none of us had eaten, and we were all pretty grumpy! Thankfully, things went much smoother once we were out of the airport!
