Hello everyone! I'm new to the whole blogging thing, but we are going to give it a try. Now that Eli is part of our lives, some of our friends and family are more interested in what we've been up to. And, of course, we are so proud of our little guy, we want to show him off to anyone that will take the time to look!!
I'm posting some pictures from this weekend. It's been a busy one! Friday night, Eli spent the night with his Grammy and Papaw (my parents) for the first time while Jason and I went on a date. We went out to eat at Olive Garden, then relaxed at home the rest of the night. It was so nice to spend the night in our own bed and have an uninterrupted night's sleep! I missed my little guy though, and raced across town in the morning to pick him up! Later on Saturday, we attended the wedding of a family friend.
Yesterday was my first Mother's Day, and it was fantastic! We attended church in the morning, and I got to snuggle with my little guy all during the service! Then, we spent the afternoon at home and my family came over for a late lunch. While I was preparing some of the food, I got surprised with a great Mother's Day gift-- Eli rolled over on his side all by himself for the first time!! He did it about ten times in a row, like he was saying, "Look what I can do!". Jay and I were cheering him on the whole time! We tried to get him to do it again later when we had the camcorder, but no such luck. We'll keep trying though!
Here we are at Rob and Kristy's wedding reception:
And here's a close-up of our cute little man. He looks so much like his daddy in this outfit!
These are from Mother's Day! I'm so proud to be Eli's mommy!!

I am so glad that you were able to be away from him for a night. I bet the rest was wonderful! I remember the first time I left Ellie with someone for the night. It was hard but so needed. And those little breaks are often what help us become better mommy's . I am glad to see that you are blogging. I can't wait to read about your little man's growth. He is so handsome.
