One year old! Our sweet boy. Happy birthday, Asher baby!
Asher now weighs 20 1/2 pounds (37th percentile) and 30 inches tall (55th percentile). He recently had his blood drawn to test for food allergies and everything came back negative. We are going to attempt to wean him off of his reflux medicine and also (at a different time) try to switch him to regular formula instead of the hypoallergenic formula he's been on since he was 10 weeks old. Hopefully his little system can handle it now!
And here is a day in the life of Asher:
Just waking up...
It doesn't take him long to have a smile on his face!
Asher loves to watch Mickey Mouse when he eats his breakfast, which usually consists of some baby cereal, a jar of baby pears, and sometimes some puffs.
And no day is complete without emptying everything he comes across. The bin of burp cloths, cupboards, trash cans... if it contains something, Asher will empty it!
We met Jason at the hospital for lunch, and Asher pushed his stroller around with Eli's help. For lunch, Asher usually has more baby cereal, a jar of baby squash, and lately he has pieces of peanut butter sandwich.
When we got home from lunch, we had a cake smash photo shoot. Asher wasn't too interested in the cake, but he loved the balloons! They didn't last long :)
Then it was nap time, and snuggles with Mommy while he woke up. Today that included watching a little bit of Frozen - Asher's movie obsession.
Since Asher doesn't have a favorite food (and really barely eats anything at all) we didn't have a special dinner. Asher had his usual baby cereal, sweet potatoes and more peanut butter sandwich, which is the only non-baby food that he eats well right now!
After dinner, we went to get ice cream and Asher had his first taste of milkshake! He loved it, of course!
And he finished off his first birthday with a fun splashy bath!
Asher has been such a wonderful addition to our family, and we are blessed to have him. His name means "happy" and he has certainly brought happiness to our family!
