Misc January

The first weekend in January, I got to meet up with my girlfriends from college. It's been about 18 months since we've been together- much too long! We were getting together a couple times a year, but as our families grow and everyone moves farther away, it is getting harder and harder. I am so thankful for these friendships that began over 15 years ago! They are still some of my very best friends. We spent the afternoon at Andrea's house, then went to dinner at Olive Garden. It was well worth the 6 hours of driving and late, late night!

Jason and I made a whirlwind trip to Ft. Wayne to return some things he'd ordered and had a great time together. As we were driving into town, it started to rain and we saw this waterspot on the side of an office building. We laughed and laughed about how it looked like Chuck Norris! We even drove closer to find out if it was supposed to be like that, but it really looks like a random water spot! (Next time we go to Ft. Wayne, we are definitely driving by again to see for sure!) Trying to explain who Chuck Norris is to Eli later was fun. He kept asking all kinds of questions. My favorite? "Does Chuck Norris fight with weapons?" Our reply, "No, Eli. Chuck Norris IS a weapon!" I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time!

After lots of cancellations, Eli's class was (thankfully) able to have their special pajama and teddy bear day! The boys were so excited when I dropped them off. (With Eli is Corban Jones, one of our friends. He rides with us to school most mornings.) They only let me take their picture because I told them they could make silly faces!
