Eli says the funniest things! Lately when we drive anywhere, I just leave the radio off because I love to hear what Eli wants to talk about.
The other night, we were driving to Poverty Knob, and I reminded Eli that he needed to ask Papaw about the animal tracks we'd seen at the park the night before. Eli asked why Papaw would know that, and I told him that Pap knows a lot about plants and animals. Here's the rest of the conversation:
Eli: I know a lot about cows.
Me: oh really? What do you know about cows?
Eli: Cows like to eat supper.
Me (trying not to laugh): What do you think cows eat for supper?
Eli: Hmm, they like to eat carrots...and broccoli...and beans. They just pick them up with their tails and put them in their mouths. That's how they do it.
I especially love how he says these things with complete conviction! He thinks he's the expert. I love this stage that he's in so much, because he can finally express what he's thinking about! I love hearing how his little mind works!
