Eli was our little lobster for Halloween this year. I can't take credit for the idea; I saw it online last year when I was pregnant and thought, I HAVE to do that! It was such a cute costume for the baby, and I thought the apron and pot idea was just hilarious! Thank goodness Eli played along. We tried the costume on him the night before and he FREAKED out! I thought all my planning was for naught, but he cooperated the day of trick or treat! Whew!
I had hoped to get Jason in on the costume too and get him one of those funny lobster bibs from Red Lobster, but we never got over there before Halloween. Darn!
Eli was a pretty good sport about the whole thing. It helped that we were outside the whole time. He LOVES the outdoors. It also helped that practically everyone we are related to was there! My parents came and Jason's whole family was at our house, so he lots to distract him. Not to mention all the trick or treaters showing up!
I think my parents definitely had more fun than Eli!
Eli's cousins Isabelle and Maddy were there too. Belle is 3 weeks older than Eli and made a very cute ladybug! Maddy was a princess and she had a good time walking the neighborhood and getting candy. All in all, it was a fun night!
