First Steps and a New Suit

Eli has officially taken his first solo steps! We were at my parents' house on November 1st visiting with the family, and off he went! He really loves the camera, so Angie, Jason, and I would pass it between us taking pictures as we went and he would walk to whomever had the camera!

Eli was having a great time chasing the camera! It's so funny how he has learned to smile when he sees the light on the camera come on- such a ham!

This is Eli with his Great-Grandma Haver. She brought him the phonics toy she used after her stroke to play with, and he loves to hit the buttons. (Jason and I are thankful this one is staying at Grammy and Papaw's house- I think it would drive me crazy!)

Eli rarely sits still, but for some reason my dad has a very calming effect on him. He sat on his Papaw's lap and played for about 20 minutes before he moved. That's almost unheard of!!

We've been trying to figure out what to do with Eli when the weather gets really cold now that he's outgrown his infant carrier. It was easy to throw a blanket over him in the carrier, but now that we have to get him in and out of the car all the time, a blanket just doesn't work. Thankfully Jeremiah and Angie got us an awesome Ohio State fleece that is perfect- it has hand and feet cuffs that fold over so he can't take them off like he does his gloves. Unfortunately, the OSU one is still a little too big, but I found this adorable bear suit online by the same company! Eli didn't seem to mind trying it on. Hopefully his amusement with it will last, because it will be perfect for those cold winter days!
