Fall Bonfire

We've been wanting to have all our friends out to Poverty Knob for quite awhile, and a Fall bonfire seemed like the perfect occasion! The Jones family and the Crites family joined us for a great night of fishing, eating, Gator rides, and even a little shooting!

Eli showed the boys how to catch grasshoppers, throw them in the pond, and wait for the fish to gobble them up!

The ladies mostly just wrangled babies- there are five age 1 and under in this group! Of course, anywhere the Crites triplets go, it's instantly baby central!!

I think the highlight of the big boys' night (and my Dad's if we're being honest!) was taking rides on the Gator.

My mom made pumpkin shaped cut-out cookies and let the big boys ice and decorate their own. Little Beckett had so much frosting on his face! When they were getting ready to leave, we caught him licking it off his face, then grimacing because there was gravel stuck in it! Ha! It didn't stop him though- he just kept licking!

I had never really thought about the resemblance before, but when I saw this picture of Asher, he totally has the "Haver" look! I see so much of my dad in him- mostly because they have the same eye color!

Corban and Eli both have BB guns now, so all the boys took a quick turn at shooting the targets. The big sand pile was too much of a draw though, because they went back to digging pretty quickly!

We are so thankful for these friends and the special place they have in our lives!
