The 4th was a lot of fun this year! We got to spend some time with our old Bible study group in the morning because Jon & Kasey were home for the day with their kids. We met at the Lion's Den shelter house and the kids had a good time playing until it started to rain!
We spent the rest of the day at Jason's parents' house. Asher is still very much Mommy's boy- he likes to be held by Mom more than anyone else!
The following weekend, we had our annual picnic at Jeremiah & Angie's house. We were bummed that mom & dad couldn't be there because Dad is still recovering from his back surgery, but we still had a good time. Eli even stayed the night with Jeremiah and Angie for the first time! He wanted to stay for the fireworks at Indian Lake, but we knew we needed to get home with Asher if we wanted to get any sleep at all. We were a little concerned that we would have to go pick him up in the middle of the night, but he did great!
