Jesus and Superheroes

Today we were driving home and when we passed a cemetery, Eli asked me what happens when you die. I told him that if you know Jesus as your Savior, you get to live in heaven. I told him that his Daddy and I both love Jesus and asked him to save us, and we hope that he loves Jesus too. The conversation took a funny turn after that:

Eli: "Me and my guys talk to Jesus first thing in the morning when we wake up."

Mom: "Oh, really? What do you say to Jesus?"

Eli: "Well, I really like superheroes, so I asked Jesus to make me a superhero. And he's going to do it."

:)

Then we had to have a little discussion about whether superheroes are real or only make believe. Eli is really showing a lot of imagination lately! He tells the most entertaining stories about things he and his "guys" do together!
