We are starting to tackle some of the little projects we need to do before baby boy (still no name!) shows up. This week we changed the door on Eli's room to *hopefully* allow him to get a little more sleep. All the bedroom doors in our house are very thin, flimsy things so we replaced his with a solid core door to hopefully block more sound.
We were talking about doing this earlier in the week, and Eli was asking a million questions, like usual. We told him the baby will probably cry at night, and we don't want him to wake Eli up all the time. Eli said, "If he cries at night, I'll just go in there and say, 'It's okay, little brother!'" I LOVE that he is getting excited and already talking about his brother with love.
Another day this week when I was driving Eli to school, he told me out of the blue, "Mommy? I can't wait to see our baby." Me neither, little one! Then he told me, "The baby isn't going to know that Mr. Bear can talk. I'm going to have to teach him!" Ha!
We got a big shipment of items for the baby this week too- a new crib mattress, changing pad and covers, video monitor, vehicle seat protectors, window shades, and a few other odds and ends. It's becoming much more real now!!
