Eli's preschool class had their Thanksgiving Feast today. The kids came out and performed a bunch of Thanksgiving songs with motions, and they were all dressed in their Indian costumes. Each child was given an Indian name- Eli's was "Big Hunter". Very fitting!!
Mrs. Miller let each kid introduce themself with their real and Indian names, then went back down the line and asked each of them what they were thankful for. Many of them said they were thankful for Mommy and Daddy (Eli included), but the highlight was when one little girl said she was thankful for HAM!! Kids are so funny!
This song said, "The Indians are creeping, creeping, creeping..."
We were a little concerned that the "hug" this song called for was going to turn into a body slam!
And here, the pilgrims are praying before their Thanksgiving meal.
