November flew by so quickly this year, it's now December and I'm just getting photos loaded! Eli has been growing up so fast these past few weeks. He's had another growth spurt recently and grew about an inch! He's finally starting to say more words, but mostly just says Mom, Dad, ball (his favorite!), brush, light, duck, please, and a couple others. He also learned to say "UH OH" and loves to say it when he drops something!
At Thanksgiving, Eli helped his Papaw open a birthday present:
We put up our Christmas decorations and tree while Eli was napping the day after Thanksgiving. He was SO excited to see them when he woke up! When he first came downstairs, he just sat down and pointed at everything- he was completely in awe! Then, he stood up and started clapping! He likes to point out all the "balls" (aka- bulbs) on the tree.
Eli has also enjoyed seeing Christmas lights on houses as we drive around town. Sometimes I'll hear him say, "WOW" or "Whoa!" if we pass a house with a lot of lights! It's such a blessing to see the Christmas season through his eyes!
We went to a local store to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. Eli points out every Santa he sees in pictures or on TV and gets very excited, so we thought he would be thrilled to see a real, live Santa. I guess he was a little overwhelmed, because he just wanted to hide behind Jason's legs! Eventually, he got close enough to sit on the bench with Santa and the Mrs., but he had to have his Daddy with him! When he left, he blew a bunch of kisses their way.
Jason spent some time deer hunting this year with my dad and brother. He brought the gun home to get used to the sights, and Eli had to check it out (of course).
