He's finally here! This baby we have waited for and prayed for is finally a part of our family! We are blessed beyond measure!
We arrived at the hospital on Wednesday morning at 5am, and Dave and Sandy Rufener (from our church) were waiting on us to pray with us before things got started. What a blessing that was! Then we did all the intake information and the waiting began!
Asher was delivered by C-Section at 7:59 am. We could tell right away that he was strong and healthy- he began crying before he was all the way delivered! They delivered his head first and he began crying right away, before the rest of his body was out of the womb!
My first glance at Asher:
He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces
And was 20 inches long
After a few minutes, Jason was able to bring him over to me for a closer look. Oh, I just wanted to hold him so badly!!
Asher has a very dark birthmark on his lower back.
In the recovery room, I finally got to hold my little Asher
and I was quickly overcome with emotion. We love him so much already!

After a little while in recovery, Asher got to meet his big brother for the first time. Eli was a little hesitant at first, but when I told him he could sit on the bed with me and gently touch his brother, his eyes lit up!
Our family of four:
First visitors, Grammy and Papaw Haver and Grandma Hays:
He's absolutely perfect!
Later that night, Asher got to meet his Uncle Jeremiah and Aunt Angie.
From early on, we could tell that Asher likes to be snuggled close. I spent the first 2 days holding him, round the clock. I didn't want to share him with anyone! He was so soft and snuggly, I just couldn't get enough! I'm head over heals in love!
We stayed in the hospital for three days, and came home on Saturday afternoon.
Asher's weight dropped to 5 pounds, 15 ounces before we left the hospital. He was a tiny little peanut! Here he is, packed up and ready to go!
Our arrival at home
Now the adventure really begins!
