We had a crazy busy weekend this past weekend, celebrating Beau’s first birthday, a quick trip to Columbus, church, class at church, etc… so earlier this week we enjoyed a couple relaxing days at home. Well, as relaxing as it gets with a two-year-old whirlwind in the house!
My sweet boy has been very eager to pray lately before meals and at bedtime. He ALWAYS says thank you for Zane and Fia (and usually Jodi too!). The other night before dinner he said, “Thanks, God, for Daddy coming home!” So cute. And almost every night before bed, we talk about what he’s thankful for. Again, he’s always thankful for our friends (and reminds me that I’m thankful for them too), but usually his first response is “God”. I asked him what about God he was thankful for the other night, and he said, “He’s stronger than anybody”. How true that is!
I recently got a CD of Favorite Sunday School songs by Veggietales, and Eli gets excited as soon as I turn it on! The last two times we’ve listened, he starts galloping around a loop in the house and says, “This is fun, Mommy!!” over and over while giggling hysterically. I love hearing him sing these songs! Yesterday I snatched my camera while he was doing his laps:
Here, he’s running around the corner so fast the camera doesn’t have time to focus!
A little air guitar
Running in and out of the bright sunlight (it was 56 degrees here today- in JANUARY???) was wreaking havoc on my exposure. He’s totally blown out, but I love this smile!
I’m so thankful for my little blessing!
