September fun

Eli accompanied Jason and I to the Johnny Appleseed Park District's volunteer dinner this past Thursday night. It was fun to visit with people that have known me since I was Eli's age, and I know my mom and dad enjoyed showing him off to everyone! Eli took his first ride in a baby swing on the playground (which he didn't like too much), then we tried to swing on a regular swing with him on my lap. He wasn't sure what to think!

Then, Friday morning, Eli went to the Lima Public Library for story time with all his baby buddies- that's Molly and Cooper McKanna and Zane and Sophia Reed in the background. Eli had to go with his Grandma Hays since Mommy was working, but Mom is looking forward to going back this week with him!!

On Sunday morning, Eli looked like a mini version of Jason! They had matching outfits- how cute!

Sunday afternoon, we went to the Elida Homecoming Parade. Eli enjoyed watching the kids go by on their floats, but wasn't too wild about the fire engine blowing its horn! He didn't seem to mind the band!

For the past week, I've been trying to catch Eli on camera making his "scrunchy" face! He's doing this thing now where he wrinkles up his nose and gives a big grin. This is the closest I've gotten to catching a picture of it, and he's only doing it partway!
